As we step into a brand-new year, we at Spi-des-ign are reflecting on what truly matters to us—giving back to our community. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has always been a cornerstone of our business ethos, and we are proud to support a range of local initiatives, charities, and educational opportunities.
Supporting Local Charities
Throughout the year, we work closely with incredible local organisations such as St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds. Charities like St Nic’s provide vital services to our community, and we’re honoured to contribute in any way we can—whether through donations, participating in their fundraising events, or raising awareness of their work. Over the past two Christmases, we’ve actively supported the hospice. In 2022, we organised a raffle featuring fantastic prizes to raise funds. This Christmas, we were proud to be one of the sponsors for the Christmas tree at the Arc in Bury St Edmunds, spreading festive cheer while supporting an essential cause.
Nurturing the Next Generation
We believe in investing in future talent, which is why we provide work experience opportunities for students from local high schools, West Suffolk College, and the University of Suffolk. These placements offer hands-on experience in web design, digital marketing, and Graphics, helping young people kickstart their careers in the industry.
Every Autumn, Kelly delivers a marketing talk at West Suffolk College, sharing industry insights, practical advice and an active case study to the Year 12 students just starting in their Business Studies Marketing Unit. In March, she’ll be returning for another session, continuing our mission to inspire and educate.
We’re also long-time supporters of Stowmarket High School, where we sponsor the annual Design Awards, recognising outstanding GCSE portfolio work. These awards, which include prizes and personal presentations, are a highlight of our year, celebrating the creativity and dedication of local students.
Community Sponsorship and Events
This year, we’re proud to be Silver Sponsors for the Stowmarket Chamber of Commerce Mid Suffolk Business Exhibition in March. Supporting Local Organisations
Beyond our sponsorships, we offer reduced rates for our services to several local organisations and charities, including Elmswell History Group, Little Elms Pre-School, Stowmarket Carnival, Blackbourne U3A, and ASNP. It’s our way of helping these vital community groups continue their amazing work.
